How schools can get the most out of trips to London

Being educated in a classroom can become tedious. Although it is important for children to gain knowledge the old fashion way, it is very beneficial that they can experience what they read in text books for themselves too. School trips are a way of pushing the boundaries in both learning and teaching.

Educational school trips can be an active way of allowing the children to think outside of their normal environment and give them some confidence to try new things. Once children are pushed out of the comfort of their day to day lives of learning in the classroom they will be more willing to take on different interests.

Taking school trips to London can be an exciting and original way for children to see the wonders of what they read in those ‘boring’ textbooks with their own eyes. Sightseeing is a huge part of these trips and can be a real eye-opener for children to view such historical buildings and destinations. With the Olympics adding a fresh remembrance of the great things that London has on offer to the list, it is a very inspirational place for children to be.

School trips to London offer a lot in a short period of time. To make the most out of the journey, take the children on a double-decker tour bus. This will allow the children see and learn all about the past and future of the city without having to walk for miles.

The London Eye is an iconic tourist location as it enables you to see the city from a massive perspective and you are able to teach the children whilst pointing out the real landmarks you are talking about. In such a diverse city, no child will be bored!
